About the Team

Come join one of the most critical and highly visible parts of the Workday platform! The Analytics team has delivered tens of thousands of reports to our customers, our customers in turn have built hundreds of thousands more. They execute well over 300M reports on a monthly basis. The ability to get meaningful data from our applications is always top of mind for us. About the Role

We are looking for a product manager to join a team that is focused on enabling our customers to create structured reports as well as perform ad hoc analysis. As a member of this product management team, you will work on our Discovery Board product paving the new way for Workday customers to perform analytics. If you love to collaborate with design, engineering, and your fellow product managers to create experiences that enable customers to make better business decisions with data – then this is the team for you! Given this is a pretty technical role so you must equally love working with quality engineers, performance engineers, as well as testing scenarios out yourself. Ideally you have been a product manager for successful business intelligence or analysis tools. As a product manager, you will have the opportunity to foster meaningful relationships both internally and with our customers.   

What You Will Do

  • Use your business intelligence, data visualization, analytics, and database background to help set the vision and execute on the vision for Workday’s modern analytics platform.

  • Identify, specify, and prioritize features and capabilities through direct input with customers, analysts, developers and architects and your knowledge of the domain.

  • Act as the Product Owner in one or more scrum teams by writing and prioritizing user stories, grooming the backlog, keeping the team focused, and communicating to stakeholders regularly.

  • Be the product champion externally, and passionate voice of the customer internally.

  • Program Management – juggle multiple projects, meet deadlines, deliver results.

About You

  • Prior experience as a product manager for a business intelligence or analytics product is required

  • Experience working with clients and participating in customer-facing situations

  • You are a fast learner, detail oriented and must enjoy a fast-paced work environment.

  • You have excellent analytical, collaboration, verbal and written skills.

  • You have experience with web technologies or SaaS.

  • You have a BA / BS / BE degree

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a developer or product manager in Human Capital Management or Financial software
