Facebook’s Search Design team is looking for a Product Design Manager to help lead the team. Search design team builds end-to-end experiences for the number one search engine in finding people and communities around the world. Facebook truly provides value to people when they have connections and content, and Search enables this for billions of users.
You would be a fit for the team if these things are true about you: You are able to coach designers and continue to improve/grow their careers. You understand data informed process and can work in a fast-paced environment with lots of cross-functional collaborations. You understand the importance of building a diverse team and scaled teams in the past with diversity in mind.

  • Manage and coach designers of all levels to achieve career goals & growth
  • Recruit and hire new designers to build a diverse team
  • Collaborate on planning and strategy with other leads and designers on the Search team
  • Connect, build relationships, and work with leads across Facebook to understand needs and inform roadmap
  • Work with Design Program Managers and Product Managers to build and scale processes and programs that support team goals
  • Represent the Search team to the company in cross-functional meetings and all-hands presentations
  • 3+ years of industry experience in a people management role on a Design team
  • 5+ years of design experience
  • Visual and interaction experience and experience shaping product strategy
  • A portfolio of work that contains examples of Interaction (UX) Design and Visual Systems Development across devices
  • Experience leading product strategy
  • Experience communicating with data to drive change
  • Experience in machine learning
